Speed and Quality
The Artisan 1430 has a rated print speed of up to 2.8 ISO ppm for black and color with an optimized print resolution up to 5760 x 1440 dpi. Photo printing is quick, with a 4” x 6” borderless photo print taking just 46 sec.
This printer delivers professional quality photos by leveraging Epson’s exclusive Advanced MicroPiezo print head with DX5 technology for accurate ink placement, smooth gradations and amazing skin tones. It also comes with auto photo correction and red-eye removal so that your photos come out looking their best each and every time.

Paper handling
The Epson Artisan 1430 can handle paper sizes from 4″x6″ up to 13″x44″. Borderless printing is supported in common photo sizes from 4″x6″ up to 13″x19″, including scrapbook size of 12″x12″. The supported paper types are plain, glossy, luster, semi-gloss, matte, and double sided matte. If you’re printing to plain paper the tray will hold up to 100 sheets, and up to 20 sheets of glossy photo paper.

It uses six individual cartridges that allow an easy replacement of cartridge when one color is already out. Claria Hi-Definition ink protects your printed materials from fading and from water spills. The print outputs are well-outlined since the ink is smudge-free. The printed documents are expected to last up to 200 years in storage and up to 98 years on display under glass.
Connectivity
The printer also offers a quick start button and an easy to use front control panel that allows access to all its different features. Multiple users can easily share the Artisan 1430 with convenient wireless networking, plus print web pages, documents and photos on-the-go with Epson Connect from a smartphone, iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices.
