HP ePrint lets you print at your convenience—from across town, or across the room—using any device with e-mail capabilities. You can send print jobs from a variety of devices—an Apple iPad, an iPhone or other smartphone, your primary desktop PC, a work or personal laptop, or a netbook computer. How Do I Use HP ePrint?

Using HP ePrint is very easy. Just email your file to your HP ePrint-enabled printer, whether it be a document, PowerPoint presentation, photograph or anything else and your printer will print it. A printer that has HP ePrint technology will have its own email address and any emails that are received will automatically be printed, so long as it’s connected to the internet of course. You can view and manage print jobs sent to your printer using your printer Job History that is available on ePrintCenter.

Apple AirPrint

What is Apple AirPrint?

AirPrint is a wireless printing function that is embedded in Apple operating systems (you can obtain a free software update with Apple for iOS 4.2). This means that iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch users will see an embedded print function within apps on Apple mobile devices and will be able to automatically find printers and print wirelessly to a printer without the need to install printer drivers or download any software.

How Do I Use Apple Airprint?

If you have an Apple mobile device, you need to ensure it has been updated to iOS 4.2 or above. The application that is present on your device will allow you to print directly, sending the file to a printer that supports AirPrint. The only stipulation is that both your printer and your mobile Apple device are connected to the same wireless network.

What Is the Difference between Apple’s Airprint and HP’s ePrint technology?

Both technologies allow you to print anything on the go. HPs ePrint technology enables you to print from any device, anytime, anywhere in the world by emailing your document or photograph, whereas Apple’s AirPrint lets you print directly from your Apple mobile device via your Wi-Fi network.

Apple’s AirPrint and HP’s ePrint are the next big thing in wireless technology and more and more printers are now equipped with the technology. As it is supported by email, it does not require you to download any additional software or drivers, so long as your originating device supports email. HP’s ePrint technology in particular is a great application, as it allows you to print without even being present at the printer, meaning you could print photographs or messages to those who are still at home, showing them what you are doing and where you are, whilst you are doing it!
