Features & Benefit

Speed and Quality
The HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275 Printer has rated print speeds of up to 17 ppm in black and 4 ppm in color. It creates first page out within less than 16 seconds in black and 27.5 seconds in color. Print quality is good with sharp, dense black text and bright colours we’ve come to expect from HP. Unfortunately, this printer lacks an automatic two-sided printing but it allows you to do it manually.

The copier has a maximum copy speed of 17 cpm for black and 4 cpm for color. You can reduce or enlarge a document between 25% to 400% and make 99 copies at once.

This printer features a camera embedded into a hinged arm that is elevated above the capture stage of the device. The camera uses a high-quality optical lens and a high-resolution sensor to capture an image of any document up to 216 by 297 mm, A4 (8.5 by 11 in, letter) or any small object. A total of six images are captured per scan or copy producing virtually glare-free and shadow-free images. These separate shots are then automatically combined into one seamless image of exceptional quality. With HP TopShot Scanning, you’ll see images similar to or better than those captured by your hand-held digital still camera and with better depth-of-focus than images from a flatbed scanner. This printer enables you to scan documents directly to email and folder. Scans can be saved in different formats, being PDF, JPG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, Searchable PDF, RTF, TXT.

Ease of use
The HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275 Printer comes with 3.5” color touchscreen display which let you access, store, and print with the tap of a finger. With HP Smart Install, you can install this printer in just a few minutes and require no CD.

Paper handling
The main paper tray is capable of holding 150 sheets and adjustable for letter or legal size paper. This printer is compatible with many different types of paper, including plain paper, photo paper, glossy paper, brochure, recycled paper, envelopes, labels, cardstock and transparencies.

Connectivity
This model combines a Hi-Speed USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100Base-TX and 802.11 b/g/n wireless connections to allow plenty of connectivity choice. HP ePrint technology lets you print at your convenience using any internet-capable printing device. HP ePrint technology liberates printing from your home or office by allowing you to print content while traveling or simply out and about from your mobile phone, notebook PC, or mobile device. As well, use Apple AirPrint to easily print wirelessly from your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

Ink
It uses 4 separate ink cartridges so you replace only the color that runs out, rather than a multi-color tank containing unused ink.

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • 3D scanner
  • Ethernet, Wi-Fi, AirPrint, ePrint

Cons

  • Slow first page output
  • No automatic two-sided printing

Summary

All in all, the HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275 Printer provides you the fastest and easiest way to scan your 3D objects and post them onto the web without using a PC or a camera. It also helps you run business more smoothly by scanning and uploading important business documents and forms directly from the device to the web. If your aim is to get your product into online auction sites as quickly as possible, the HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275 Printer will serve all your needs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great printer which needs work on scanner., February 11, 2012
This review is from: Hewlett Packard CLJM275NW Wireless Color Printer with Scanner and Copier (Office Product)

Was looking for a scanning, copying, color laserjet which was not so large it would take over my entire desk. This one fit the bill as did not care to fax as rarely do that for personal reasons.

The pros

easy to set up if have basic computer skills, good quality printing and wireless printing, small footprint as less than 14 inches with arm down..

The cons-

Limited instructions on how to set up as only a one page graphic piece which was not useful.

Scanner is not your normal scanner as it is an arm that supposedly allows for 3d scanning which is little more than a picture. Regular scanning is done same way as the raised arm just take a picture against the white background so product is not as good as even a cheap scanner.

So if looking for a multi purpose good printer and do not care to get expert quality scans/copies this one works. If have space go for one of the machines with a proper scanner or get a scanner and…Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Extremely slow color printing, September 20, 2012
This review is from: Hewlett Packard CLJM275NW Wireless Color Printer with Scanner and Copier (Office Product)
We bought this printer for our organization and we have a fairly old computer. Whenever I send a color pdf document it takes 3-4 minutes for the printer to start printing. It prints only 1 page every 1.5-2 minutes which is ridiculous; it waits for about a minute after printing each page. I print 30 pages in literally 45-50 minutes. Black and white printing is fast, no problem with that. Quality is awesome too, both color and b&w is really good. But I would suggest you to avoid this printer if you plan to print in color in relatively short amount of times, this printer will fail you terribly in that.

2.0 out of 5 stars SCANNER IS BOGUS, August 28, 2012
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
This review is from: Hewlett Packard CLJM275NW Wireless Color Printer with Scanner and Copier (Office Product)
The 3D object scanner is bogus. A “genuine” hp ink set costs over $200. Cheaper aftermarket inks don’t work. There are better printers out there. Don’t bother with this one.

Calculating Cost Per Page:

Cost per page is a calculation of how much it costs to print one single page. Calculating the cost of printing per page before buying a printer, you can ensure whether or not you are able to save money in the long run.

Cost per page = Price of ink cartridge / Page yield

For example, if the price of an ink cartridge is $15 and its yield is 440 pages, then its cost per page will be $15/440=$0.034 (3.4 cents per page).
